Woman You Are

This piece was written and posted on my Myspace Page but I decided to share it here since not everyone cares to visit Myspace. I composed this piece in about 5-10 minutes and wrote it for no one woman in particular but rather for the Queen in all women. Hope you enjoy. Woman You Are

Her image against the wall of the pyramids aligned her in my mind as a divinely sent love
The kind of woman that is so hard to not think of
On my mind until the time when my mental links up with the sub
Conscious of the division of my thought process I realize that her wisdom is what I attest
Through both sleep and awake states of my life's progress
Most High bless
Both her and I yes I could see us digress on some political subjects
Either that or off a normal conversational chit-chat
Influenced by the way her hair fits under her knitted cap, silky black
Lips full
I sip fuel, agua to quench my desire for you
Your fire is true
Purely untamed, so passionate when you're speaking my name
Swear to no one or nothing but still on top of your game
And when you speak you mean everything just the same
Woman you are
One hundred I am
In the sincerity that I have for being the best at who I have been created to be
And making sure that you see that very best exude from me
The breath in We
God-given
Selecting me
Your decision
I will make sure you don't regret it
Whether through love-making or just in the day-to-day rhetoric
You will know that you are within my being
Carried in my soul, so from the soul I am speaking Woman you are
Peace be unto you Queen

Intro blog from me to you

Hey there. So listen, I'm one of many new to the notion of blogging and the likes, however I am not a person who's new to personal expression. I've expressed numerous thoughts through another medium (Hip-Hop music as an emcee - shameless plug - www.myspace.com/blackmoz ) but have recently been inspired to start blogging due to my newly acquired "Twitter" addiction (shout out to my tweeples @1hunid and the crew).

Now I do have to admit that the fluidity of my thoughts in a written format is at times comparable to the motion of an iceberg lumbering along in frigid artic waters. Not so swift if you catch my drift (pun intended). Not to be deterred however, I press forward, reminded by memories of compliments from persons past, that there has been an appreciation for my written work. Though this blogging of mine will share both written original poetry from myself, it will also share my personal thoughts and feelings. I hope that these things will entertain you, challenge you, inform you, amuse you, feed you, strengthen you and much more. Let's walk together for a bit shall we?
